On Friday, August 24, Leicestershire won their four-day match against Hampshire by 126 runs, in their County Championship Division Two encounter, at Grace Road, Leicester.
Hampshire, chasing a total of 441 runs to win the match, resumed their second innings on the final day from an overnight tally of 77 for the loss of four wickets.
LA Dawson and JA Tomlinson forged an impressive partnership, denying Hampshire wickets early in the day.
However, after taking the score to 109, the partnership met its demise on the wicket of Tomlinson, who perished after scoring ten runs off 48 balls.
