There has been a lot of talk regarding Jonathon Brown re-signing and the fact that it was announced very soon after Matthews resignation. What do you think the story is?

  1. mmm...

I think he was pushed! =)

  2. Pushed, his footy club hasnt made the finals for four years in a row and he is obviously under immense pressure from the media & his footy club.

  3. he jumped and was pushed at the same time.

  4. Jumped. If these stories about Matthew and Brown are true though, it could have turned into he goes or I go, and Brown won out.

  5. Pushed.

  6. The bulldogs man above me is right, i reckon

It was a case of he goes ( leigh) or i go ( brown) and JB won out

  7. I don't know about being pushed. The playing group announces that his message is not getting through (read been there too long). Leigh Matthews is a man with an enviable record as a dedicated player and coach. The man has pride. How could he continue without the support of the players? I think he saw the writing on the wall, and left rather than endure another season of derision. Could be a couple of more years out in the cold for the team from the Deep North.

  8. Pushed

  9. PUSHED!!

Definately some correllation between Leigh resigning and Brown re-signing.....

It's an end of an era :(

  10. **I think he jumped because he knew if he didn't then he'd be pushed.  Find it interesting that Jonathan Brown has wasted little time in announcing that he's resigned with the club.  Maybe he wanted to make a point that he and Matthew didn't get along.**
