Question:

Lemon juice trick for sun-kissed hair?

I have blond, natural looking hair. I lay out during the summer; so, I have a very sun-kissed look. I like the shade of my hair and do not want to have it dyed. However, my roots are starting to grow out a little, and I do not have the time to lay outside for hours until they get lighter. Thus, I heard that there is a lemon juice trick to get your hair lighter, but I only want my roots. Can someone explain me this trick? I want it to look natural and not processed. Please help.

  1. I have tried this before and it did lighten my hair, but keep in mind your roots will grow back out again and you will have to keep doing this, or some form of hair lightening, to keep your roots this color. To do this, take bottled 100% lemon juice and pour it in a spray bottle (you can get both of these at a store) and spray it on your hair before you lay out. It helps if you spray it on damp hair because it'll absorb it better so you won't have to use as much. If you can't keep up with the lemon juice thing, getting highlights at a salon has the same effect.

  2. Cover your roots in lemon juice then go out into the sun . The sun will cause the lemon juice to brighten your hair.

  3. dont do it. It will FRY your hair. Just get some Herbal Essence streaking kit....its super easy comb thingy and they look totally natural....and its only like $10.

  4. yah it works my friend sam tried it
