Lemonade master Cleanse???

Okay, I am currently going on this lemonade fast

I am sure most people have heard of it, you drink glasses of water, maple syrup, lemon juice and Cayenne Pepper.

You are also not supposed to eat anything else

The thing lasts around 10 days

So first of all I was wondering if anyone actually did this for 10 days.

I tried it for one day yet failed.

throughout the whole day I felt week and sick then at night I took out these sugar free chocolates and ate the whole package (it was only two servings) I also had an apple. I went to bed the next day feeling like a failure but strangely enough when I woke up today I was 5 pounds lighter.

I am now considering going back on and trying again, people say it is good for you and gets rid of toxins but I am not sure if it is very healthy.

So I guess I am just asking what others think of this diet.

Also I don’t use the maple syrup will this make a difference in my results?

And for background information

I am a girl, I’m 5’9, I’m 18, and I weigh 150 pounds (trying to get down to 125 or 130)

I am also a vegan.

  1. Ugh. A complete waste of time and energy. This will do absolutely NOTHING for your overall bodyfat measurement (ie no one will notice you lost a single lb). In fact, you will probably just end up looking flabbier. Coupled with being a vegan (another teen fad), I highly doubt you will achieve your goal of a having a leaner body.

    A balanced diet of lean proteins, low GI carbs and healthy fats rich in omegas, resistance exercise, eating six meals per day and drinking plenty of water is really the only thing that works for long term, sustainable fitness.


  2. a better diet plan would be to eat fruit and veggies for a few weeks

    if you looovvveeeeee meat then have a small serving of it every few days

    drink lots of water and exercise

    if you are not a big veggie or fruit fan try having fruit salad and fried veggies. a small serving of meat and some veggies could taste great together.

  3. That's a really dumb thing to do.........do more exercise and eat healthy.....exercise will help you alot more than starving yourself. You are setting yourself up for major iron and vitamin deficiencies especially being vegan which I think is unhealthy anyway... I bet you feel ill or you will soon if you don't educate yourself to the fact your body needs energy from food to function...you can't live on lemonade....jeez people baffle me....
