I am interested in studies of lemur behaviour as the stress of human encroachment increases.

  1. Pretty sure that the question is about Lemurs. Remember ancient lemurs are believed to have been enormous (comparable to gorillas). Since humans have deforested and colonized madagascar, modern lemurs have been under severe nutritional stress, causing many of them to evolve into smaller species or go extinct.

The implications of this environment for lemur behavior is that many of the societies will become female dominant, since reproductive females require the most food out of any individuals in the population and it is advantageous for them to get first access to food.

  2. You mean Lemmings, and many studies have been done in relationship to human behavior.  Except none have been done on those who have removed themselves from the stress.  Perhaps because people want to think humans have the same instincts as animals which is a false asumption.
