Lend A Hand Son to down the 1912-2012 Tramore Centenary (Ladies) Maiden
Tramore will host the 1912-2012 Tramore Centenary (Ladies) Maiden on 2nd
June, 2012, where the surface of the track has been labelled good to firm, and it will cover a distance of 1 mile and 6 furlongs.
The race will be an exciting event, and two of the most promising runners Clonsilla Fath and Lend A Hand Son will be going head to head.
Clonsilla Fath, who is trained by D. Broad, seems to have improved tremendously in his last three starts. He has yet to compete this season, but his performances from last season make him one of the top contenders.
The Michael Caldwell owned gelding finished as a runner-up to, Rainforest Magic, by 4 ½ lengths in the Guinness (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle at Galway on 29th July, 2011.
In his next start at Curragh, he finished in fourth place, but soon recovered in the SolheimCupmeath.IE Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse on 22nd September, 2011, where he conquered the two mile track and finished 2 ¼ lengths ahead
of Miss Nomer, where he was mounted by rider, A.E. Lynch.
In the eleven starts that he has competed in, the bay gelding has secured two victories and will be aiming for a third.
Lend A Hand Son, son of Lend A Hand, out of mare Sun Bonnet, has shown great progress this season in his two starts.
Michael Hourigan’s charge finished eleventh in the Follow Us On Twitter Handicap Hurdle at Cork on 23rd April, 2012, where he paired up with jockey, Barry Geraghty.
The Golf At Ballyneety Syndicate owned runner blossomed in the start that followed, where he secured a placed position with rider A.P. Heskin on his back.
The black gelding raced with determination, and stood third in the Mullingar Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan on 12th May, 2012, where he missed the victory by 6 ½ lengths which was secured by, Audrelles Lad, 2 lengths behind the
runner-up, Ross Na Righ.
Lend A Hand Son is likely to emerge on top since he is showing rapid improvement, which this form and fervour, he will achieve a victory in no time, and earn the third victory of his career.
