If you get several positive opk's a couple of days in a row, should you count the first positive as the official test and count the 24-36 hrs from that one? Does anyone know why we get positive opk's a few days out of the month?

  1. I agree with Vicky - ovulation happens after the last positive within 36 hours.  I always get 3 positives in a row each month, some women only get 1.

    Goodluck!

  2. Im having the same problem with my Ovulation Test Kit, i know. . its confusing, i have a saliva testing one & i think it only still says positive because its still in your saliva but ovulation has already been im not sure really. :S

  3. The last positive you get will indicate the end of the LH surge, and ovulation is 12-36 hours after the end of the surge. Of course, it won't hurt to BD today anyway :) The reason you might get a few +OPKs is if you happen to catch the very start and the very end of the surge. A 48-hour long surge, for example could give you 2 or 3 +OPKs depending on the timing.
