Jack had trouble against tall fighter. Lennox will beat him like Jess Willard did.

Again, Lennox Lewis matches up very well against Johnson in all categories save one.  If they had to remove 6 of Ketchel's teeth from Johnson's glove, imagine how Lennox would have reacted to a shot like that.  Lewis would be able to match and maybe out jab Johnson, but at their best, eventually they would trade punches and I don't think Lennox's chin would be up to the task.

Johnson was a defensive wizard.  However, it's not hard to do against the plodders of his time.  Many of those guys didn't know anything about footwork or combination punching.   Some didn't even bother with defense.  

Wanna know something?  Jack didn't have the greatest footwork either.  He could keep ahead of Lewis.  However, the comparisons to Ali are very inaccurate.  They're not even close in that respect.  Tunney had better footwork and it wouldn't help him either.

Jack could avoid Lewis' bombs for a while and land his own.  I have always said that Johnson, while great, is really a poor man's Larry Holmes,  NOT an early day ALi.   He would fail to do the things Larry would succeed with against Lennox.  

Lewis would force the fight inside and Jack would soon run out of ways to prevent it.  He would actually hold Lennox off for a while as he was quite strong for his  size.  He would also shake Lennox with a few good rights on the inside.  

However, he would not do enough to slow Lennox down.  In round 5 Lennox lands a short right flush on the jaw.  Jack goes down.   He's up and goes at Lewis.  He had decent footwork but he's not known for running.    The clinching style Jack enjoyed during his time would be useless against Lewis.  

Jack attempts to clinch and Lewis lands a stiff uppercut.  Jack goes down again.  He makes it to his feet but the referee has seen enough.
