I sent in the camera to a certified Nikon repair center that has quoted me a price of $225.00 to repair. It needs a new lens mechanism and some minor adjustments and cleaning. My dilemma is whether at that cost, to trash the camera and buy a new one, or shop around for a repair shop that can do yhe repair at less out of pocket cost.
