Lens for glasses cost?

hello. im about to purchase another pair of glasses from lenscrafters. im getting the D&G frames for about $250, but i was wondering how much it would cost for the lens? i am nearsighted and only need them for school & watching tv [my vision has actually worsened since wearing my other glasses]. any cost estimate on how much everything will be [lens + frames, etc] ? thanks =]

True, it depends on the actual prescription, the type of lenses, and the treatments you get on them.

Lencrafters are a very expensive place to begin with...so dig deep.

Basic lens is probably $30-$70, but you probably might want higher index or special coatings, which would make the price go into $200 or $300.
