  1. corneal neovascularization.

i usually recommend switching to daily wear silicone hydrogel.

  2. I'm afraid you'll have to choose between wearing lenses for some more time (till you lose all vision) and between glasses and save your eyes.

The 'veins' (minute arterioles actually) are a sign of severe and long-standing corneal oxygenation compromise. The next step would be complete corneal invasion and opacification. Basically, a couple years more of contacts could very well make you blind.

You have to stop lens wear now and follow-up with your ophthalmologist regularly till the vessels seem to regress, which you should pray they do. Wear spectacles regularly, use artificial tears (preservative free) 3-4 times a day.

I would assume that you are ineligible for any LASER vision correction right now, so do not attempt that. Your eyes are your window to the world, do not shut them just for the sake of your looks. And trust me, people will get used to seeing you in glasses in a matter of days. So don't be afraid of not being able to wear contacts, be thankful that your vision can yet be salvaged.

  3. You will only be able to wear them again depending on the damage they have created . Your lenses have stopped the oxygen getting to your eyes . Which if left can make you blind . Time hopefully will sort it out . Just follow your opticians advise . There are worse things than wearing glasses . You could go blind altogether
