Lenson Bob hot favourite for Coral Sussex Cup - Heat 4 at Hove
Lenson Bob has the ammunition to make a play in the fourth heat of Coral Sussex Cup, taking place at Hove on Thursday, July 19th. The black dog has been unbeaten since the outset of his career, as he was triumphant on all three occasions he raced so far.
Crash’s dashing son made his debut with an open race at Tralee at the end of last month. In a 550 yards race, A. Collett’s trainee did a wonderful job, stopping the clock in 29.79 seconds.
After making his debut on a high note, he continued the good work to win a couple of trial races earlier this month. Lenson Bob last came out for a solo ride at this track, when he maintained the highest standards to cover 515 metres in 29.67 seconds.
If he manages to display an equally good show, there will be no problem for him to catch the big prize. Among his opponents are: Jaytee Ray, Trevi You Go, Parkwest Leo, Holloway Road and Airforce Tom. The £175 event is scheduled to begin at 20:50 GMT.
Holloway Road could be punching above optimum weight here. The black dog is coming to this venue after doing a reasonably good job at Sunderland. After notching up the first rank in a great fashion, he started finding himself in trouble and as a result, ended up third last two times.
Jaytee Ray is a course specialist, and can easily book his place in the semi-finals. The punters should judge him on his penultimate trip, in which he ensured the top place by a head’s distance.
This assignment might prove beyond capabilities for Airforce Tom. R. Holloway’s trainee was terrible in his last two trips. Parkwest Leo could be chasing place money at very best. If Trevi You Go fails to do well in the beginning, his chances will be over.
It looks Lenson Bob will not face any difficulty in crushing the opposition tonight. The main danger is Jaytee Ray, who knows this track very well. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
