Lenson Bob to intimidate the field of Coral Sussex Cup – 3rd Semi-Final
Unbeaten in the four career starts is the two-year-old lightly raced black hound, Lenson Bob. He has proved his smartness and sharpness not only at Hove but at two other venues too over such a short span of time. Two out of his four attempts were in open races.
With the exception of Bridge Honcho, the two-year-old is up against some big fishes in the Coral Sussex Cup – 3rd Semi-Final on Thursday, 26th July at Hove over 515 metres flat. Offshore Rebel, Fortunata, Hugo You Go and Airlie Impact will invade the track for taking home the £200 prize money.
Despite much more experienced and accomplished contestants in the field tonight, the one to look out for is Crash’s two-year-old son. There is hardly a doubt in the minds of the rest that there has been put a full stop to what Lenson Bob has to offer. There is way much more to come.
He has come this far with a single drilling session and that too after he had struck the first hat-trick of the career through the very first three races. The two-year-old has already extended his hat-trick to a winning streak of four and to get it to five is not a matter that will need to be waited upon for long.
Hondo Black’s two-year-old blue dog, Bridge Honcho started off at the same note as Lenson Bob, but unfortunately had to cut it short quite soon. The career hat-trick of the Mark Wallis trained could not get stretched as the fourth outing resulted in a third position. However, the two-year-old out of Forest Baby, has maintained a certain level of consistency that has kept him from falling down to the fourth position.
The number of training sessions and racing venues too are the same as Lenson Bob’s.
The 6 to 4 entry will formulate a tactic for being the first one through the wire, dodging the much experienced line-up. The A. Collett trained will strike the fifth success through the third attempt at Hove.
Staying vigilant about the level of competition and retaining the form will tick his clock quickest for the distance tonight.
