Leon Camier ( top British rider & factory Morawaki Team rider) came a cropper at Cadwell Park today. The mountain is a bad uphill smooth right hander [ think The Corkscrew in reverse ]

Leon`s website has not been updated yet, no doubt he is in hospital, so watch this space. http://www.leoncamier.co.uk/rounds/round-11/

So............... if you saw it, when do you think he will be back? I think, early 2008.

  1. i axtually saw it, it looked like it hert like a mother .....

hopefully he gets a speedy recovery

ya id say early 8 or maybe early 2007

  2. I was there at Cadwell up on the bank along the start finish straight, so had a good view of the Mountain. at the time it didn't seem that bad a crash (I've seen worse!) but the medics were with him for quite a while so I knew it must have been fairly serious.

But it wasn't til I got home (too far and wrong angle to see the big screen at the track) and saw it on TV that I realised how bad!! Ouch!!!!..........Every time they replayed it I cringed.

Broken Femur and dislocated Knee. I'd say 4 or 5 months at least. But hey......he's a racer, they mend quickly. Look at Tony Elias!

Its a pity coz Leon seems to have got the hang of that Honda now. Broke the lap record in race one before he took out himself and Johnathan Rae.

Lets just wish him a speedy recovery!

  3. I every much doubt Leon will be back in action at all next season. That was a horrendous break and may see him out of action all next season too.

I hope not & good luck Leon.
