The Italian national team defender went on to state that he always knew he would come out of the trial scot-free  as he knew that he had done nothing wrong.
Bonucci was going to face the lengthiest ban of all his Juventus peers if he was considered guilty of all the charges levied at him. The Bianconeri defender was alleged of sporting fraud during his time at Bari, and the allegations were brought to the court’s
attention by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Masiello-c5692.
The defender was looking at potentially being off the field of football for three and a half years, and had he been charged with the penalty, his career would have effectively been over. However, much to the relief of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-Bonucci-c22064, his name was cleared
after the testimony of Masiello was considered highly unreliable, as his testimony had a lot of contradictions in them.
Antonio Conte and Angelo Alessio were not as lucky, and have been sentenced to ten months and eight months from direct involvement in football. The direct involvement involves that the above mentioned personnel would not be in the Juventus dugout during
or after matches. They are also not allowed to be in the dressing room during half time or communicate in any way with the staff on the touchline.
They still have time to clear their name and will most likely appeal on the 20th August.
Bonucci has stated that his nightmare has finally come to an end, and after all the uncertainty of a long term ban, he went on to lift the Italian Super Cup with Juventus in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926. However, there was no doubt in Bonucci’s mind that he would go scot-free,
and he remarked:
“It has been a very dramatic time for me. It all went well, both on the field and off it. I went from being cleared to starting the Super Cup game and winning it. This must surely be just the start of a long and tiring season.”
He further went on to comment about the sporting system and remarked:
“The most difficult thing was facing up to an obsolete sporting justice system. I never thought it would end badly, because I knew I was innocent.”
In the Italian sporting justice, the guilty has to prove his innocence, rather than innocent till proven guilty.
