The defender is delighted at Juventus’s win, and is optimistic that the Rossoneri will drop more league points to give them a shot at the Serie A Title.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003. The Juventus defender expressed his hope that AC Milan will drop more points in the league, to give the Bianconeri a chance to dethrone the champions in
their quest for Scudetto.
While Old Lady rejoiced their win over the Partenopei, Massimiliano Allegri's men had to make do with a 1-1 stalemate against a modest Catania. The recent development has brought the lead of the champions over the Bianconeri down to just two points, and
has fired up Juve’s hopes and determination of winning the Scudetto this season.
The centre-back insisted that the club has put in a lot of sweat to the current place in Serie A standings. The guard insisted that it is no time to relax, and urged the team to continue chasing their dream in hope that the champions slip again.
While talking to the press, the 24-year-old said:
"We’ve worked hard to get to this point. We won’t give up, we’ll continue to chase the dream and hope that they can stumble again,"
Bonucci extolled his team’s incredible intensity against the dangerous Azzurri, and insisted that it was a very special performance from the team. He insisted that the team could sense beforehand that AC Milan would stumble, and were ready to take advantage
of the opposition’s fall. The former Bari defender insisted that the team’s extraordinary run in the season is a testament to their resolute self-belief.
"We played with great intensity, keeping Napoli out of the game and pressing them from the start until the end. It was a truly great Juve performance. We knew that we had to take advantage of their [Milan] slip up and we were fully up for the game. We believed
we could do it, and we fought right until the end."
Juventus will play Palermo in their next Serie A fixture on April 7.
