Leonardo discusses hot issues at Paris Saint-Germain – Ligue 1 news
Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are certainly the hottest news in French sports dailies these days. The stars of PSG are in the media on a daily basis and the club’s is certainly increasing its PR by every day.
Guest show at the “Luis Attaque” the Brazilian sporting director Leonardo discussed the hot issues that are surrounding the club at the moment.
While talking about PSG, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 revealed that he always wanted to return to Paris Saint-Germain one day however he was not sure if it would ever happen or not.
“I did not expect this so quickly as I was at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567. I was happy and had plans for the future. Finally I came at Paris. When they (PSG) contacted me, I could not join them. However, they worked out a project that focussed on me,” said Leonardo.
While talking about the club’s unlimited financial resources, Leonardo admitted that the club is in great position to sign new players. With the likes of Kaka, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wagner-c36524 Love, Tevez, Berbatov linked with a move for the club, Leonardo quashed all those rumours
by saying that there are a lot of players who really want to join the club but he will select players carefully.
While talking about the future of Mevlut Erdinç, the Brazilian said that he had no idea about rumours linking the Turkish striker away from the Parc des Princes.
Carlo Ancelotti was linked with a coaching position at the club and it was expected that Antoine Kombouare would be sacked. Leonardo however, refused all such speculation by saying that he never once thought about signing Ancelotti and said that even if
the side loses to Marseille in the club’s next Ligue 1 encounter, Kombouare would stay at the club until the end of the campaign at least.
With so many controversies surrounding the club, Leonardo has done well in quashing all the rumours that have surrounded the club in recent weeks. With so many players linked with a stint at the Ile province club, it will be hard to filter out the right
news and the wrong one but Leonardo has done well in outlining the important issues for now.
