The Paris Saint-Germain sporting director has once again stressed that the cash-laden club from Paris is not interested in signing the Real Madrid star and has also denied making a move for either Patrice Evra or Ashley Cole
The former Manchester United player has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu in recent months. There are not many clubs out there who have the money to spend on a player like Ronaldo. Paris Saint-Germain are one of those few clubs that can
do that and no surprises there why the Parisians have constantly been linked with a move for the 27-year-old.
However, PSG sporting director, Leonardo has rubbished such speculation claiming that there is no truth behind such news. While talking to reporters, the 43-year-old stated that Paris Saint-Germain certainly have the funds to sign any player in the world
but Ronaldo has a long contract with Real Madrid and the Ile giants are not after him.
The Brazilian added that Real Madrid are one of the best clubs in the world and players do not leave such clubs just like that.
“PSG has become a club where anything is possible. But he has a long contract with Real Madrid and you don’t just leave a club like Real Madrid like that,” Leonardo stated.
The former Milan manager said that PSG haven’t contacted the Spanish Champions and such reports are not true at all.
“There’s absolutely nothing concrete. There is zero contact,” PSG’s sporting director added.
Leonardo added that its natural that Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a player like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 but it’s not happening.
“But today, when you talk about a big player like that leaving, there are four or five clubs he can go to, and PSG are now part of that group.”
On a question regarding other possible arrivals at Parc des Princes, the sporting director said that PSG are not brining any new player in this mercato and Les Parisiens are not chasing either one of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Cole-c6809 and Patrice Evra.
“Are (Wesley) Sneijder and Cole options? No, neither is. The same goes for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 told L’Equipe.
