Despite the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority stating the importance of Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has expressed his displeasure at playing at the stadium which he believes is not up to the standard of a club of PSG’s
stature
In recent days, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has truly epitomised the meaning of not to beat around the bush. In a recent interview with La Repubblica, the Brazilian hit out at people who have been criticising him for crossing clubs by
leaving AC Milan for rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and then leaving Internazionale for PSG so soon after managing them.
In that interview, Leonardo did not show any remorse of leaving Italian Serie A for a less-fancied league. Leonardo also said that he doesn’t aspire to win the Nobel Peace Prize by being the nice guy all the time.
Once again, the former PSG player took a full swing at issues pertaining at the club. After ruling out making a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez and not interfere with AC Milan’s plans, Leonardo took some time out to take a few shots at the legendary Parc des Princes.
“In Paris, we play in an old and inadequate stadium, where there are concerts and events that destroy the pitch. We have had enough,” said Leonardo while talking to La Repubblica.
This statement is certainly in contrast to what PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi said. The Qatari investor said that Parc des Princes has always will remain the most beautiful home of PSG. This is certainly a sign of disagreement from Leonardo’s part who
some might think is right to ask for a new stadium which is devoid of social events.
PSG are now looking to remain at the Stade de France longer than expected where they will move to in the 2013/2014 campaign as the Parc des Princes is renovated for the Euro 2016 hosted by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
However, if that was not enough, Leonardo also expressed his annoyance at people taking an overly-cautious and critical look at Javier Pastore.
“I am not concerned about the slump in his form. He is young and only 22-years-old, he was not used to playing every three days, all of the team is new, he needs to know himself and needs to learn how to settle down and get used to struggling,” http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056
said thus giving his full backing to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082.
Certainly Leonardo is tired of so much scrutiny surrounding the club and is showing signs of pressure and annoyance.
