The Spartak Moscow president is pleased to bring the Swede international to Luzhniki stadium and has commented on his side’s latest win against Volga Nizhny Novgorod
Spartak Moscow Chairman and President, Leonid Fedun, has expressed his delight on the signing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kim-c20955 Kallstrom, from Olympique Lyon.
“I am very pleased with what we have signed. We tried three years ago but it was not possible then. Now http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 has changed the tax laws, so the players can switch club easily.”
“I think we were missing a player of his stature. I think that he was the best option available for our team in the market.” The Russian billionaire was quoted as saying.
Spartak and Lyon have reached an agreement for the transfer of the midfielder, according to the official site of the red and white. Though Kallstrom failed to score a goal last term, the Coupe de France winner managed to provide
seven assists in 32 league appearances.
The 29-year-old central midfielder has signed a contract with the Spartachi after undergoing a medical examination. Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 suggest that the Myaso paid three million Euros for the former Rennes star.
Kallstrom previously showed an interest in moving to Russian championship side, Rubin Kazan, during the winter transfer window, but the deal could not go through.
Given that Rubin launched a serious raid to sign the Swede international this time around, the Moscow-based club succeeded in bringing the experienced and talented midfielder to Moscow.
The fact that Spartak managed to win their second consecutive match in the league season, pleases Fedun who appreciated his side's character and commitment.
"Most important, we have secured three points in total. If not mistaken, we had 20 strikes against Volga, so it makes the outcome even more beautiful. A draw would have been extremely counter-intuitive outcome.” Fedun said.
The Moscow-based club will now lock horns with Dynamo Moscow at home on coming Monday, and Fedun has warned his side against complacency, insisting that there is still a long way to go until the end of the championship.
