Leopard gecko eggs have dents in them?

i found my females eggs buried under the sand today and I'm guessing they were under there for about 12 hours. since there was no moisture and they were buried on the heat side of my tank there r huge dents in the eggs. i have them in the incubator and one looks a little better but i was wondering if there was a fast was to get the dents out. help!!!!

  1. Sometimes laying a moist paper towel over the eggs for a short period can help with dents.

    Is your female in with a male? Infertile eggs will also dent in.

    If they do not puff back up within the next week (it takes time for this process), try candling the egg with a small flashlight. If it glows red, it's fertile, if it glows yellow, it is infertile. You can leave the eggs in the incubator until they collapse.

    What is your incubation medium, and what is your water:medium ratio?


  2. yes a wet paper towel helps, and if you candle them be sure **NOT** to turn the egg, because the embryo will drown.  another thing you can do it take a spray bottle and spray a jet of water into the corner that is farthest away from the eggs to up the humidity.
