  1. Leave him in his cage for about a week after you get him. That way he gets used to his new home. After that there's not really much you can do except give him food and water, heatmat, a hidding cave, ect.

  2. leave him in the cage so he gets used to it.

    i had a bearded dragon.

and it was bleeding from its private parts

and i went to petco and they told me the lizard is on its period. yes

    they actually said that

i later found out from a vet that the lizard is laying on the heat rock and is getting burned from it

    so watch out for that

i also asked petco what kind of crickets to feed it. and they said the large crickets even tho it was a baby lizard. well days later the crickets ate the lizard when i was at school

hope you learn form the mistakes people tell u

always call and ask a vet when something seems weird

  3. Make sure he has a big enough cage with lots of plants, etc. and a shallow water dish. Geckos like to have a dark place to sleep, so put a cave-like covering in his cage. Geckos shed like snakes, and they like to rub up against something rough when they do, so buy a rough-textured artificial plant or rock to keep in the cage. They are also extremely sensitive to sound, so put him in the quietest area of your home. Try to take him out of the cage occasionally and hold him, and also let him wander around on the floor for a while so he has stimulation and gets used to interaction. And of course, buy lots of crickets! Leopard geckos live for a long time...my brother has had his for almost 10 years.

  4. Put him in the cage.

  5. If you don't already know how to take care of an animal, you have no business getting that animal.
