Adult leopard geckos grow to be around 8 inches on average.  The only dangers are parasites, but you can get your leopard treated for any and you only need to worry about spreading them to other reptiles. The best way to pick them up is around their midsection, not with just a finger or two but with your entire hand so you don't put a lot of pressure on their stomach.  Make sure you have a hold on him because a lot of times they dart or jump. Never grab them or pick them up by their tails because they're release it.  The tail will grow back but it usually doesn't grow back the same way.  If the tail does come off put neosporin on it to stop bacteria from infecting your lizard.  And if you plan on getting one, remember that they can live to be 20 years old.

the biggest they get is 8-9 inches. They don't pose any real dangers & most don't bite; however, always wash your hands before & after handling. The best way 2 pick them up is 2 approach them from the front so they can see your hand & don't make any sudden movements that would scare them. When scared or stressed, Leopard Geckos will drop their beautiful tails off
