Leotard for gymnastics and dance?

Question

My mom is signing me up for gymnastics and maybe dance next week.

I read on the website that you have to wear a leotard.

What is the best kind, and where can I get it?

And do I have to wear a bra and underwear with the leotard ??

go to www.dancewearsolutions.com and look at the leotards.

don't wear underwear but do wear a reg. bra and/or a sports bra

for ballet you ll want to wear pink tights under your leotard

You don't wear underwear with a leotard, but you do wear a bra. try one that cannot be seen. A good place to look for a leotard would be Danskin.com and right now they have a sale.

Some leotards come with a shelf bra. But if you feel you still need one for support then do wear a bra with your leotard.

As far as underwear, you have your tights... and you don't want to have too many layers.

maybe a bra but usually they don't want you to wear underwear especially in dance cause you have tights. Most dance studios either have their own store or know of one to suggest to you. I'm assuming it's the same with gymnastics. Call the studio and ask what type of leotard they prefer you to get. You will most likely need a different kind for gymnastics than you will for dance. And I recommend you get a few a each. And for tights, make sure you get for than a few. They rip so easily.

in gymnastics and ballet, you need to wear the leotards right? when i do ballet, i don't wear bra but i wear this special beige leotards and you could probably use that in gymnastics too.

i like the lycra/cotton ones and you can basically get it at any dance store or online it's cheaper (likeee try.... um discountdance.com)

it depends on what kind of leotard you get (like if you get one with a shelfbra in it you obviously don't have to wear one) but i do anyway and on terms of underwear i don't think they let you basically because your tights are basically like underwear but i juss wear it anyway cuz i feel more comfortable xD
