The promising young midfielder started his professional career at Feyenoord Rotterdam in the 2007/08 season after spending eight years at their youth academy. The central midfielder made 103 appearances for De Stadionclub in his four-season stay in Rotterdam
and managed to add his name to the score-sheet on 14 occasions.
The young midfield ace is renowned for his impressive playmaking skills. His ability to control the game from the centre of the pitch coupled with his ability to score goals often earned him interest from a host of European clubs. However, the Tukkers were
the favourites to land his signature this summer and after seeing their initial bids turned down, they eventually managed to lure the Dutch International away from De Kuip Stadion for 5.5 million Euros.
The 21-year-old expressed his joy after signing a contract with one of the top Eredivisie clubs of this era. The central midfielder revealed that his move from the Rotterdam giants to the Tukkers was very strange and admitted that the road to transfer was
tough for him.
“I have made a strange transfer. Everything was different from normal. It was very difficult for me to leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258. The fans also hissed me for the first time in my career. Before this, they were always positive. I made a choice to further develop my
skills, and I knew I would call much misery for myself by making this decision”, Fer said while talking to the media.
The central midfielder also received a funeral card with his name on it. The youngster revealed that he was shocked to see it.
“I was really shocked. I am not really afraid, but now I always have to look around on the street”, Fer concluded.
The central midfielder would be hoping to perform at his best at De Grolsch Veste and earn new fan following for himself.
