  1. if u can do it here in the US im sure u can in new zealand

  2. I think there are too many kids in this world who need homes for you to nitpick on the perspective parent's sexual orientation.

How about asking if she has the finacial means, is loving and nurturing, and is willing to commit her life to this child.

You close minded "Christians" give the rest of us a bad name. Go read John 8:7 and shut the f**k up.

Good luck in your quest for a child :)

  3. Hi i am not sure of the answer to this but i  just want to say all the best, i hope everything works out if you intend to adopt.I wouldn't listen to peoples narrow minded comments.A child needs a loving home with caring parents and you sound like you can provide that...I think you should be respected for that...

  4. i think its great that u are trying to adopt..i am also a L*****n and plan on adopting one day. People think its so wrong for lesbians to adopt but crack heads and child abusers are just find to be parents.  and u people who are saying its soo wrong, so do u think its better for a child to go through life in and out of foster homes with no parents? You're  idiots

  5. Apparently, current NZ law (written in 1955) says that " only Proper Persons" may adopt, and does not go on to define the word "Proper", leaving such determinations up to the caseworker and judge.   There is a measure in the works that will disallow any discrimination in adoption practice, including adoption by same s*x couples, and adoption of girls by single men.  It may also open records.

I hope it passes, and SOON!

Good luck with your family building!

  6. I'm not sure but I was on a website earlier I will give it to you. It's http://adoptionsupportcenter.com. Good Luck!! I hope you can adopt. God Bless! :)

  7. thanks for the ice cream recipe-lol-hay the answers Ive read so far are all good-did you get rid of da nasty ones-i don't know the answer 4 this one other than love is love-hugs lady

  8. I don't know about New Zeland rules and laws.  But in the US g*y couples can foster and adopt through the state and through different agencies.  I would contact your local department of child services and ask if L*****n couples can foster and adopt through the local foster services.

If the natural parents cannot parent, then I would rather see a child in a stable loving home.  It doesn't matter to me if it's two women, two men, a man and a woman,  a chicken and a monkey or gumby and pokey.  It's supposed to be about what's best for the child.

  9. I agree with barracuda.

Better someone that wants a child has a child than a child die alone and homeless somewhere. Too many children suffer for anyone to prevent anyone willing and wanting from adopting.

  10. im sorry i dont know if you can in nz. you can in the U.S. with some agencies. if they wont let you adopt maybe you can just have one of you adopt as a single mother. i know it's not the best situation but if you believe you're meant to adopt then maybe youll have to just keep a low profile. consider it your first sacrifice as a mother. lol. i hope you do succeed, your sexual orientation has nothing to do with your ability to parent. just ignore the narrow minded people on here. i bet they arent speaking from experience.
