Lesson ideas on bird brains/behaviors. Please help!?

Need help with lesson ideas for website. The topic is links between bird brain and behavior. The 2 examples that must be used (not in the same lesson plan, necessarily) are bowerbirds -- brain size influences bower building-- and manakins -- differences in male & female brains. The K-4 lesson must emphasize "understanding scientific inquiry," 5-8 is "adaptation and diversity" and 9-12 is "evolution". Please let me know any ideas or thoughts about how to plan these lessons.
