strongly do you believe it? And for those of you who believe this very strongly, can you give us some really, really wild examples to make your case? You know, like McCain & Obama, Nixon & Kennedy, Carter & Reagan - if you will, explain to us how any of those pairs are "the same". It will help those of us less-cynical types to better understand your thinking. Thanks!

  1. The difference between Reagan and Carter was pretty extreme, but Kennedy was more conservative than liberals today, and Nixon was closer to the center than the media gave him credit for.

    I think McCain will do everything possible to appease the liberals once elected. I can only hope he selects a strong Vice President, who will get the opportunity to take over, sooner rather than later.


  2. Ron Paul has shown that not all politicians are the same.  One can be truthful and consistent for 30+ years and still be a politician.  

  3. I think that many, if not most, start with the best of ideals and intentions, but the system grinds them down.
