A silverback gorilla is very strong and has an incredible bite but a grizzly has not only the strength and bite, it also has huge, sharp claws.

A grizzly bear is much bigger and stronger and has claws, so it'd easily beat a gorilla. I've read that an average male gorilla is 175 cm. tall and weighs 160 kg., but a grizzly is 245 cm. tall and weighs 365 kg. That's like me fighting a 231 cm., 110 kg. man who has a pair of knives when I'm 165 cm., 48 kg. and unarmed.

I'd say bear. A bear has its teeth and claws while a gorilla can only bite. Gorillas are more agile though..
