What's your opinion?

Should people on ANY FORM of Public Assistance be required to get some form of temporary sterlization in order to keep their benefits - MALE AND FEMALE? PA includes food stamps, medicaid, medicare, public health, public housing assistance, etc.

What if they miss their appointment for sterilization?

What if they become pregnant or get someone pregnant when they miss their appointment ( - if you think they should keep their benefits)?

  1. Lets see. how is that any different than those that believed in eugenics in the past. remember who that led too.

  2. No, lots of people live in rural areas where it is hard to come by jobs and therefore food, clothing, utilities. not every person on public assistance is trying to abuse the system. i don't think there should be a time frame either. we need a more efficient way to help families support themselves and to weed out the abusers. i dont like to hear people whine about having to pay taxes to support them. how much do you actually lose from your personal wealth to help a struggling family? it should be worth it.

  3. So an Iraq War vet who receives public assistance in terms of disability should be sterilized because he got his legs blown off protecting this nation.  Get real.

  4. "Public assistance" (taking what your neighbors earned) should be for a specific, maximum term and then cut off.  If someoen on PA becomes pregnant, too bad.  The amount of "aid" they receive is based on their situation when they start.  "Temporary sterilization" should not be required.

  5. Not necessarily on "ANY FORM" - but those that have one child - on assistance - then nine months later have another and so on - YEAH they need to be sterilized!!
