The Milan tactician has joined in the debate of the number of Scudetto the Old Lady has won over the course of their history, and boasted Milan’s chances for next year.

AC Milan and Juventus were embroiled in a season long battle last year, which culminated in Juventus pipping the Milanello to the Scudetto. There was a lot of controversy during the course of the Serie A Championship. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sulley-Muntari-c34312 had a disallowed goal
in the match between the two clubs, which the Bianconeri won by a solitary goal. There was also a penalty appeal by Juventus that was not given by the referee.
Allegri claimed that the points dropped in the match would prove to be decisive in their hunt for holding onto their Scudetto championship. Another controversy erupted in the culminating weeks of last season, when Juventus’ officials started stating that
they would be considering their next Scudetto to be their 30th title.
Two Serie A Championships had been taken away from the club due to its involvement in the Calciopoli incident. Juve have always claimed their innocence in the controversy.
Amidst all this backdrop, Allegri had words to say on the number of Scudetto wins by the reigning Serie A Champions, and went on to mock that they had actually won more than 30 titles in their history. He went on to ridicule that the club’s promotion to
the Serie A warrants another Championship.
The former Cagliari manager went on to state:
“Juventus’ titles are 31,” he stated with a touch of irony. “They won the championship in Serie B didn’t they…”
However, on a serious note, he went on to state that there was no need to be involved in such petty arguments. The Milanello head coach went on to state that there was a body which dealt with this, and their verdict should be listened to.
Despite losing out to the Turin outfit, Allegri is confident that they would do better in the coming season, and continued:
“My Milan is strong and competitive. I have no doubts about that. I’m happy with the squad as it is now.”
The Rossoneri have remained low key in their transfer dealings and have only signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049, Bakaye Traore, Francesco Acerbi and Kevin Constant this time around.
