Question:

Letrozole aka Femara?

Can/will doctors in Oregon perscribe this to an 18 yr old with PCOS to start her ovulation??

Or must you be 21 as with Clomid?

  1. I have PCOS and most likely you will be started on Clomid first..that is a stage 1 fertility treatment..if that does not work you will go onto Letrozole, if that does not work then the final step would be to try Invitro fertilization (IVF)...clomid did not work for me--letrozole did!!! I am not sure how doctors will treat you--are you married or in a stable relationship? I dont see why they would not medicate you as you are considered an adult at age 18...good luck to you


  2. There is no law that says you have to be 21 or even 18 to be prescribed clomid or femara. It's at your OB/Gyn or RE's disgression.
