Lets move the Section.

Question

With all the non-related junk invading our section I propose we move this section to an unused one such as Barmajan. No one's getting in trouible for posting in the wrong section we can't either. Just to get away from all the spam. Other prominant users who miss this will relize through their contact's network

OK, this is the third person to try this. It wont work. When the original Q was posted in Banjarmasin by HOMES, a bunch of us got violations for being in the wrong section.

If you want to stop the monotany.... REPORT every question in this section that doesnt belong here. YES, if a Q is on the wrong section and its REPORTED a few times, it will get removed. Look at the YAHOO ANSWERS guidelines and rules. Asking Qs in the wrong section is a violation whether Yahoo put it there or not. Just report them all USING "asked in wrong section" as the violation!

Honestly, its getting ridiculous.

When there were only one or two misplaced questions a week, it was slightly amusing, because of the witty answers people left, but there are more new off-topic questions than new hockey questions.

I hate the new Yahoo.

Its almost as annoying as Brett Favre.

I think it should be the Handball section. It is mostly unused and still in the sports category. Maybe it gets 2-3 questions a week.

I'm not the type of guy that gets up and leaves because things aren't going our way.It will be back to normal and if these misplaced questions happen,now is the time for it to happen while its the offseason.Thats like a guy taking your seat at a bar,do you get up and change scenery or do you tell HIM to move?

THANK GOD!  Someone has finally decided to try and end the spamming of the hockey section.  I think Yahoo Answers needs to fix this, not us (the users of the hockey section).

Couldn't we just make sure we spam every non hockey question, so yahoo answers gets the message we are sick of non-hockey questions in this section?

I agree with Nips and Joe. It's not us that needs to change locations. Reporting the violators might be the best solution and it falls into Y!'s community guidelines. This place needs the newcomers to keep things interesting, we will not get them in a different section. Who's going to look for legitimate hockey answers in the geography section? We just need to weed out the stupidity.

I think it should be in the curling section. At least they are both ice sports. I went to the curling section a few days ago and there are no questions there about curling. A few about a curling iron. The rest are as bad as some of the ones here.

I've tried to answer the questions people ask even if they are not about hockey sometimes. I don't really give good answers to them though. I told someone in Dubai yesterday to go to the local hockey arena to get shampoo.

You mean like Banjarmasin?  It could work but by now trolls have probably seen this Q and will find us. And everyone would have to make there Q and A privet or they'd find us that way .
