Lets play "whats this boat worth"?

Question

Im looking at a cheap fishing boat. Not shure of the brand of boat,but its a 1978 16' fiberglass hull and it has a 55 hp Johnson elect hydro drive. On a scale of 1-10 the boat is prob a 7 and the motor about a 8. Whats it worth? Approx... Runs good and no leaks. Comes with a good trailer too?

when you say "electric shift", NOT GOOD!!  absolutely nothing.  motor is probably a '73 or earlier.

$1000.  You are better of buying a simple aluminum 16 ft boat with a 15-35 hp tiller motor that is a little newer.  Boats are prone to breaking down, so you can easily stick more that $1000 into the boat if something goes wrong.

we need a "brand", most of a boats value is in the motor, if the engine is from 1978, it's worth about $1.49....Stay away from it, you'll spend your whole summer fixing it up for much more than the boat is worth.

Seats?  How many.  What condition is the upholstery?
