Also what occupation would you pick for your new life on Mars?

I would be a crazy old prospector that just happens to run a Moonshining operation on the side.

  1. I posted a similar question like this a couple of minutes ago.  Being a settler is thinking ahead way too much...first we need to see if we can get a crew of astronaut to visit Mars and come back from Mars safely.

But, if i were to be a settler on Mars, i would create a drilling company, looking for any precious metal or gems, but I'm sure many many other people would too, since its a nice new planet to live on, so it would be a very competitive business, i can imagine.

  2. Live in a space suit? No way.

You could get the same experience by living in the middle of the desert for a while with a fish bowl over your head. Except you can take the fish bowl off when you get fed up with this.

  3. Sure why not, new business, new economy, whole new life, would being one of the first people there be easy, heck no but there would be a certain pride that would go with the fact that your helping to build a whole new world. The occupation i would choose for myself would be a bartender in my own Martian sports bar & grill, i would most likely get allot of miners and working class folks in my place but hey even Martian settlers got to unwind some how right.

  4. I would definitely go. For a job if they tried terraforming mars at all i would definitely be on that team. If they didn't try to then I would probably be a farmer.

  5. In a heartbeat as i am in Facility Management i guess same job there as here you always need someone to organize venues and maintenance and services
