I haven't seen one of these questions up in a while, and since its wedding season i'm sure there will be lots of goodies to look at!!

if you're going to post anything negative or be a wet blanket, go somewhere else! we all know its "not all about the ring" calm down. but it sure is fun to share and admire!

i'll start off with mine, its a radiant cut solitaire set in platinum and my wedding bands are white gold (i was "over" the whole platinum thing before we got married, lol). i love my ring, and i think it looks kind of edgy! :)

please post pictures if available, and i'm especially interested in unique and non-tradional rings/sets.

i can't wait to see all the beautiful rings :D

  1. Pretty...

It won't let me post a picture of mine :(

    Alright... here it is.

It was my grandmothers ring. I also have the matching wedding band for it. I got them when she passed away. I love them so much. I would never even think about trading up. The rings are 67 years old.

  2. I like yours! It looks familiar, did you ever post a picture of it before? I have a twisted yellow gold stacking ring like that, and so does one of my attendants. We're trying to find matching ones for all of the others.

    We went with something that I could wear on a chain while I work and have it still look lovely. The gold one in this link looks like mine;

We're using it as a betrothal ring(both e-ring and wedding band), though we're planning on having another ring made to use at the formal ceremony(we used this one for the civil).

It's a Tacori-style eternity band in yellow gold, with golden yellow diamonds all of the way around, and white diamonds on the sides. I think that it looks very Old World European, which suits both of our tastes, and goes well with our wedding theme, Venetian Carnivale.

  3. I haven't received my ring yet. I won't get it until about a month before the wedding (December).

Mine is almost the same setting as this one, only in white gold, not platinum.

I have my grandmother's engagement ring; similar setting. She did not want me to use it as an engagement ring, but I might have had it not been quite damaged getting cut off when I had a problem with swelling fingers.  So, I decided to get new and will just wear the ring on my other hand when it gets repaired.

In answer to your questions, yes, I picked it out.  I will love it when I get it, and No, will not be trading up.

  4. 1. did you pick it out?:  Yes.

    2. do you like it?:  Love it.

    3. would you ever "trade up" in the future?:  Probably not.

I don't particularly care for the tradition of the showing of the ring--but since we're all showing it, I suppose I can be okay with it.

Only, instead of a center diamond, you should picture an aquamarine.

Sorry its so yellow. Haven't gotten a better one online yet.

I LOVE it!!!!!! I would never give it up for anything. My, now husband, did a wonderful job. He picked it out all by himself!

there's mine! Hope the link worked okay. I actually wear the SET now, and I'm getting a 3rd plain band for my wedding band. Just what I wanted to do.

Yes, I picked mine out. As much as I would have liked a surprise, I think since this is something I'm going to be wearing for a long time - I want it to be what I want.

Maybe someday I'll trade up - who knows. If I ever do, I'll be giving this set to one of my children. It'll always mean something to me.

    I love your set!!

My engagement ring is a three stone trellis white gold setting.  The centre stone is a Canadian round diamond (.6 carats) and a round pink sapphire on either side (.3 carats each).

I LOVE my ring.  It is perfect for me and my personality (I'm a total pink-loving girly-girl, but very traditional and romantic).

My fiance designed the ring and had a goldsmith cast it just for me, and although I had a feeling that he was going to propose sometime soon, I had no idea what the ring would look like or what he would pick for me.  Needless to say when he opened the ring box after I said yes, I was floored!  I couldn't have designed more perfect for my if I had done it myself!

I shouldn't have been surprised though, he knows me better than anyone else in this world!  I love it, almost as much as I love him. :D

Not my rings- was the photographer here.

Yellow gold, 21 diamonds totalling 1 ct.  from Ben Moss

I suggest you put a 'real' question.  I asked something similar a few weeks ago, and my question or apparent lack, was turfed for disregarding yahoo rules.  W/e.

    Nice ring btw!

  10. that ring is pretty

  11. Here is mine..

I was very surprised when he proposed. We had never gone shopping for rings but  I had sent him a few pictures through email. Later on I found out that he had saved them and taken them into the store, but when he got there he didnt think that the ones I picked out were good enough for me. So he said that he saw that one and loved it. I have to hand it to him, when I actually saw the other ones in person, I am very thankful it was not chosen :) And I would never trade it in for the world.

  12. I don't have a good picture but, I'm allergic to metal so mine is sterling silver with a beautiful cubic zirconia in the middle and a cubic zirconia on each side.

    For the questions:

Yes, I picked it, but he didn't know until he gave it to me.

    Yes I absolutely love it!

And no I would not "trade up" in the future.

  13. I love my ring!

We had it customized with the sapphires.

Yes, I picked it out.  My man proposed with a solitaire having picked out a gorgeous stone knowing I wanted something special with sapphires and not wanting to get the wrong thing.

I can't picture myself ever trading up... I wanted platinum or palladium but due to costs we went with white gold.  If we have the money and we get tired of having the white gold touched up then we may upgrade the setting but keep the stones.  It would be pricey but I'd never change out the stones,... too sentimental I guess.

  14. My engagement ring is a 1.5 karat cushion cut London blue topaz set in white gold, and then I have plain white gold band.  I am an unconventional person.  We did not discuss rings beforehand, but I think I saw a Debeers comerical one day and remarked if diamonds were so rare, why does everybody have one.  Mine was a suprise proposal, he picked out the rings, and said the blue was almost as pretty as my eyes.  I absolutely love my rings, and will never trade them for anything else.

  15. I love all the beautiful rings..I just had to share mine.

It's a one carat champagne diamond in a antique crown setting with about a half a carat in white diamonds on the white gold band.

    1. did you pick it out? Yes, but I didn't know that he actually bought it..he told me that when he went to buy it someone else beat him to it.

    2. do you like it? I love love love it!!

    3. would you ever "trade up" in the future? Hmmm..if I did the ring would have to be FANTASTIC.

  16. I love your ring. I think its very unique too, I like the swirly things around the edges. Very pretty. I like square stones and other shapes other than just round. Nothing wrong with round but its nice to be different.

Although I like my ring better. ha ha ha :->

It's a white gold. I like white gold too. I did pick out my ring. I knew he was going to propose, I don't even know why he proposed as we both decided together it was time to get engaged. Yes, I did pick it out. I knew as soon as I saw it, it was what I wanted. It was a wedding set so it came with the wedding band at the same time. It's not as expensive or fancy as other rings, but I love it and he saved up his money to buy it for me when he was working his first out-of-college job at a time when he really had no money. I would never trade up because I love my ring and I like it better than many of the "fancy" ones.

  17. Nice Radiant cut!

Sorry no picture to show.  But, it's emerald cut, with emerald diamonds on the side of the center stone. Round diamonds on the front and back of ring.  Yes, a busy ring lol.

    1. NO I did not pick it out!  This ring was not what I thought it would be (laughs).  I really didn't know that my man was that flashy.

    2. At first I didn't because I thought that we spoke about what I liked.

    3.  No, I don't think so.  I happy with it.

  18. I don't have a picture of mine... but its very small and simple. It was only 300 bucks. This is because I never wear jewelry! I already lost it twice.

I think I will probably downgrade sometime in the future. Something even simpler w/ no diamonds. It doesn't even fit anymore because I lost so much weight after having my baby.

    I know I'm no fun

But your ring is gorgeous!!! It's unique and really catches your eye.

  19. I don't have a pic of me wearing my ring because it has yet to arrive! But here's a pictures of the engadgement ring:

    http://www.shopadf.com/catalog/show/1440...

And it means so much to me because my fiance and I had said no rings in the begining because we're young and rings are so expensive, but he suprised me!
