Letter from Global tel link/ inmate phone calls?

I just got a letter in the mail from Global Tel Link saying an inmate posted my phone number on a list so they can make collect calls to my house. We're had this number for 2 years but still are always getting calls for someone named Teresa, so I would assume its someone she knew.

There is a number to call if you don't want to be on the list and get the calls, but I just wanted to make sure this was a real company and not some kind of scam. I had a family member advise me to do some research before calling the 1-877 number.

Anyone else ever get a letter like this? Thanks.

I haven't received a letter like this but this is an actual company that does prison collect calls.
