My name is ***** and I am an international student at York University. I have attended your Immigration Seminar at York and spoken to you after seminar regarding the immigration issues.

I was recently refused for the Post Graduate Work Permit which I applied in July 22nd 2008. The reason for the refusal is that I was formerly issued post graduate employment on Jan 10, 2000 therefore I am not eligible for another work permit.

I was issued a work permit in year 2000 after completing Marvel Beauty school. The school I went was a Private school. It does not meet the criteria for a Post Secondary institution such as a College or University therefore I don't understand that why my formal work permit was considered as a Post Graduate Work Permit. The following is the link of the beauty school I attended ********

In year 2004, I received the Business Administration Diploma from Humber College and I recently completed Bachelor'degree in Administrative Studies at York. I was planning to gain some work experience in the Accounting field and I am also planning to apply for the Permanent Residence Status as a Skilled Worker.

The decision I received is very devastating for my and my mother who has supported me financially so I can build a future here in Canada.

Also my study permit already expired on July 31, 2008 and I have Convocation Ceremony on October 2008.

Is there anyway you could review my file? I will really appreciate if you resolve my issues for me.

  1. Looks good to me but if it doesn't work out, you know about the provincial nominee programs?  If your skills are in demand in any province and you have a job offer from there, you are fast tracked for a temporary work permit leading to PR.  It is way faster than applying as a PR skilled.
