Has Jonah Goldberg been misled? In his editorial, Goldberg uses one of the classic tactics we identified in the 70’s for suppressing women’s writing; accusation of irrationality and dismiss as hysterical. This type of emotional attack is quite resistant to rational response. Indeed, environmentalism is based on science. The idea that Goldberg cannot distinguish between science and religion is disturbing.

Should we merely focus on the short run, while forgetting what happens in the long run? We cannot undermine the importance of our environment. Overall, we would actually benefit more from trimming “trillions of emission gases than to payoff the Canadian hunters to stop killing polar bears.” Although the green light seems to indicate that you are safe to pass, eventually, we all come to a red light and have to recognize our problems with the future.
