Letters from J. Edgar Hoover?

Question

We found an old wooden trunk in a old car in a junk yard.

It's contents were:

3 letters from J. Edgar Hoover

A very old fingerprint case all intact even the powder still in the small jars.

Other things but I found this to be quite interesting.

Does anybody know who we could contact for further knowledge.

Wow! I would like to get my hands on those. You could contact your local news station or CNN or something. I think it could be really important stuff. Hoover was CIA chief so any of his letters are probably somewhat important. I am sure they would be incredibly interested in that. You could also contact reputable antiques dealers. I bet someone would like to pay you for those.

The most prudent thing to do would be to contact the CIA or FBI. Who knows, it could be regarding an unsolved case. You never know.
