So I wash my band shirt and the letters keep cracking. I had to buy a new one but I want to know some ways to keep this one looking good so I dont have to buy another one for a while. I wash it inside out but that doesnt seem to help. Could it be something with the drier? I put it on medium heat. If you could help that would be awesome!

  1. Either use the "air only" setting on your dryer so there's no heat or air dry it on a hanger.

  2. Keep it out of a hot dryer. Even medium heat can be too hot. Use the delicate cycle or whatever low-heat cycle your dryer has. The heat is brutal on fabrics and especially the plastic lettering. Remove it when it's still slightly damp, but not too much or it will mildew. Hang it up to finish drying.

  3. lay on a towel when it comes out of the wash ..and wis the shirt inside out..

  4. Hang it out to dry. Or change the setting on your dryer to "Tumble Dry." The dryer melts the letters, causing it to crack and piece.

  5. Try hanging it to dry. I do this with shirts that I really want to keep new. Otherwise, inside out on low heat seems to work. What does the label say? The label may be for the shirt only, before the print was put on them for your band. Can't always trust labels on custom shirts!

  6. Wash inside out in warm or cool water with mild detergent.

    Hang to dry.

I'd not iron it.  I'd use that spray Downy Wrinkle Remover if you have wrinkles on the shirt.

It would be okay to iron the collar and areas w/o the print.

    Good Luck!
