  1. Yes it has a galley, head, bunks and a fish hold area below deck.See comments from a student who spent a day on this ship in NY City..

"IN MY FIRST SAIL, I had a lot of fun. The day was sunny. When we went in the boat, we formed five groups of students with each teacher. We went part by part of the boat. The Lettie G. is a nice boat called a "two masted schooner." The color of the boat is nice, and all the things that are inside. The staff that worked with the South Street Seaport Museum are so beautiful and nice. We went to the Fish Hold of the boat that has books, beds, tables, bathrooms (that is called the "head." It's called the head because a lot of years ago they did not have bathrooms on the boat) and chairs. Also, we went to the kitchen. In the kitchen they have food to cook, a sink, the table to eat and more things that they use. I learned a lot of things, like the parts of the boat (main mast, Jumbo, Jib, Bowsprit) the two masts, peak, the foot and the head of the sails, the lines, and who do the hauling of the ropes on the boat, etc. When it was time to eat, we ate our lunch and then we took out our Journals and all wrote about it. We observed all the things around, for example the George Washington Bridge, the green trees and the sound of the water, the buildings and the houses. In conclusion, this was a good experience for me and I would like to go again, because I enjoyed it, and I know that my classmates enjoyed it, too. And I would like to thank the New York Harbor School and the South Street Seaport Museum for this trip when we went sailing."   --Rosario Figueroa
