Question:

Letting my new bird out of her cage

just bought a parakeet and I was just wondering when I can let her out.

I have had her for about a week and she is getting a little used to my hand she still wont let me come close to touching her. But I hate to see her cooped up in the cage all of the time. i know it takes time to train but when you had your parakeet how long was it before you let her out??

Also, will it mess up her training if I bought a cd of parakeets talking. She loves to hear other birds but I odn't want it to mess up her training.

I have already had here wings clipped too. So, she can't fly anywhere.

  1. you Can let her out and still let her get used to your hand

  2. i had gotten my male parakeet in amrch when i was 11 or 12 but anyway

i  would gust let him/her get used to your hand. if she can fly i would take her to the vets so it would be easer for you to get her is she comes out of the cage.

i would wait for 1 month befor even trying to let her out.
