This summer i've just kept getting sick over and over again. First I had diarrhoea, then a bladder infection, then tonsillitis with fever last week and some diarrhoea as well and now after taking a full course of antibiotics (Zinnat) which ended last Sunday, I have a fever again (100.3F) Do you think it's something to worry about, like leukaemia?? I noticed some of its symptoms matched mine =/ ?

  1. It's more likely you have an underlying low level infection, or depressed immune system. Accurate diagnosis can only be done via your GP and blood tests.

  2. If you went to the doctor for these things, at some point he might have run a CBC (Complete Blood Count). If you have an infection you would have a higher than normal WBC (white blood count), but if it is too high that would be the first test if you had Leukemia. You could have some other problem that affected your immune system, or even be diabetic, that can have an effect on immunity. But don't worry about it, see a doctor or even get a second opinion. Leukemia is a fairly easy disease to detect and if found in the early stages prognosis can be very good today, but to worry about it won't help. And what I mean is, if you were already to a doctor and he ran blood tests, that probably means nothing was there or he would have said something, so you are probably OK>

  3. go to your GP and tell him about your worrys and symptoms and he will run tests

  4. I'm really sorry but it is impossible for me to tell you wether you have leukaemia or not. However I do really think that you should go to your doctor asap. Recurrent infections is a sign of leukemia but it is also a symptom of less serious illnesses.

Please make an appointment with your GP.

    Hope this helps.

  5. No you more than likely do not have lukemia.
