Level of subjects in S.A.T?

Hey im an irish student, asking a lot of questions about s.a.t.(havent you noticed!) what i want to know now is are there are higher and lower levels, to subjects in the s.a.t.?

For example in Ireland each subject has ''higher'' and ''ordinary'' level an A in higher is worth 100 points to your overall score in the leaving certificate (our version of the s.a.t.'s or A levels in u.k.) and an A in ordinary is worth 60 points.

If there are different levels to subjects in the s.a.t. what are how much more or less to an average score are they worth.

Im really confused about the whole s.a.t. but want to do them, can someone please explain my question. Im confused!

  1. there are three sections, reading, writing, and math

each section is worth 800 points

the points you earn for each result in your final score (2400 being a perfect score)

usually, most colleges only really care your math+reading score, the perfect score being a 1600.

whatever you get is what you get, its not classified into different levels, however you can retake the test

you could be talking about the SAT subject tests, which are  each scored out of 800 points as well

they test you in certain subject areas (math, chemistry, languages, history, etc..)

you can take math 1 or math 2, 2 being the harder test, the higher level of math. I dont know if this is hat youre talking about, but this is the only distinguished "level" when taking SAT tests. If you get an 800 in math 1, thats great, but it will look more impressive if you get an 800 in math 2, the score is NOT weighted according to its difficulty, like the A levels

and the language exams are either written or listening.
