Leveling a mud job?

Question

I am doing my bathroom over and I am doing a mud job on my shower floor. If I don't get the level right, can I go over it with more

cement (sand and cement mix) to get the slope to the drain right?

If not, is there another solution?

otherwise try to level it using a screed...using a higher point toward the edges...and if you do not get it level...use concrete resurfacer which is a high strenght cementitious material

Why are you using mud why not try sand and cement?

and the get a professional  to do it otherwise how do you know it is legal
