Levitate brimming with chances of success in the Get Your Bet On At Blue Square Handicap
The 5 to 1 entry for the Class 2 Get Your Bet On At Blue Square Handicap, Levitate, has improved through the ten outings that he undertook during the new season. He will be up against nine other contestants over the mile event on Saturday, 21st
July at Newmarket. The first one through the wire will get entitled to the £18,675 prize money.
The last three races of Pivotal’s four-year-old chestnut gelding have got him two successes and a second score. Conditioned by Alan McCabe, the four-year-old won the Freebets.Co.UK Free Bets Handicap on 17th June, 2012 at Doncaster over a mile.
After leaving the eighth gate with jockey, Martin Harley, the chestnut gelding did not break into an early pace rather started taking over the limelight when nearing the last two furlongs. He defeated the runner-up, Ingleby Exceed, by a length.
Taking up the third position was, Lockantanks.
The Charles Wentworth owned then won the very next race that came his way. The four-year-old out of mare, Soar, won the Lloyd Motor Group Carlisle Bell (Handicap) on 27th June, 2012 at the Carlisle race course over a mile.
He was paired up with jockey, William Twiston-Davies for the race and the duo took their flight from the fifteenth gate. After reserving some strength at the initial stages of the race, Levitate headed front by the rails two furlongs out and then switched
sides with the final furlong approaching.
The Cheveley Park Stud Ltd bred won by the margin of a short head’s difference and defeated Toto Skyllachy to the second position.
Finishing third in line behind the winner was, Silvery Moon while the favourite entry, Barwick, ended fifth on the track of fifteen.
Born in 2008, the four-year-old ended second in the John Smith’s Racing Stakes (Handicap) on 14th July, 2012 at the York race course over a mile. The race was won by Anderiego,  by the margin of 2 ½ lengths.
The maintenance of the improved form will ensure him success today provided that he keeps an eye on the 4 to 1 entry, Vainglory.
