One of the greatest frauds in history was the case where swamis would climb ropes that magically stayed taut for them.  The secret were iron poles which ran through the center of the ropes so you couldn't see the poles.  Once again, a physical manifestation of the "spiritual world" which turned out to be nothing more than a cheap magic trick.  Until they invent anti-gravity suits, no one will be able to levitate.
