Nobody needs to try a levitation ritual when common sense tells you that it won't work.

I know there is a common ritual called light as a feather, stiff as a board. Its actually shown in the movie "the craft".

Basically what you do is get at least 3 other friends together and you lay down while you have two sit at your sides and the third sit at your feet. You then have them place two fingers (index and middle) under your body.  Your friends then begin chanting "light as a feather, stiff as a board", while lifting with their fingers. And you keep chanting until you either get tired of it, or you successfully levitate.

Ideally you all should be in a relaxed and serious state of mind. If you treat it as though it were just a game, then thats all it will be.

Siddi mystics from India are reported to have super-natural abilities of all kinds and it is believed they pass their abilities down to their sons. The catch is that gaining such abilities takes many long years and dedication. However some real siddi monks will tell you that gaining those abilities is not the point. The point is enlightenment and you really don't need to be able to do super-human feats if you've transcended reality.

No...BUT I was thinking of doing light-as-a-feather-stiff-as-a-board tomorrow! It's when you get one person to lay on the floor and four people surround the...."victim". Two people sit at the head and feet and two people sit on the sides. The people surrounding the victim put two finger under them and start to lift them while chanting "light as a feather, stiff as a board...." (Thus the name was created!) So, to wrap it all up, you eventually lift the person, almost defying gravity, because you trick your mind into thinking the victim is light as a feather and stiff as a board! ^_^
