Lewis Hamilton: I am trying to get back to having some good results – Formula 1 news
McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has said that he is trying to get back on the grid to produce some good results for his team in the remainder of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
Hamilton added that he believes he has a good chance at the moment to do well in the upcoming Italian Grand Prix, which will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Monza racetrack.
Apart from that, the Brit denied that he has a very aggressive driving style. He stated that he is not aggressive during his races and that he always performs up to his potential. In addition, Hamilton mentioned that he just needs a good luck during his
races in order to finish well on the grid.
After the 2011 Belgium Grand Prix, Hamilton is aiming to fight back to produce some good results for his best possible end to the ongoing season.
The 26-year-old driver commented, “I'm trying to get back to having some good results, so I can stop negative stories being written about me. I don't read them, but I hear there are pretty bad stories that are written about me, so I am thinking it will be
good to give you guys something good to write about me.”
He went on to mention, “If you look in the garages there are people with very, very thin wings and people with similar wings to what they had in the last race. We have a similar wing to what we had in the last race, but I am hopeful it will work and we will
be competitive.”
The Woking-based outfit driver is at the fifth place behind his teammate Jenson Button with 146 points in the 2011 drivers’ championship at the moment.
Hamilton considers himself out of the 2011 championship battle at the moment, as he said that he has a massive gap of points from the current leading driver Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel.
The team driver is looking forward to a successful race weekend in Monza following his disappointing Spa race.
Let’s see how Hamilton performs at the Monza racetrack this weekend after getting unsatisfactory results in Belgium.
